Tobias Blatter has won Student Paper Award at the 50th ECOC Conference 2024.
His paper demonstrates plasmonic ring resonator modulators operating at 480Gbit/s with an achievable information rate (AIR) of 461Gbit/s in an intensity modulation and direct detection (IM/DD) experiment. The modulator features low insertion loss of 1.2 dB, a flat bandwidth in excess of 110 GHz. Our sincere congratulations!
